About Allison
Allison is the Town Clerk for the Town of Pomfret in Chautauqua County, located 60 miles south of Buffalo. She has served the Clerk’s office since 2009, beginning as Deputy Clerk and being named Town Clerk in 2013.
Allison holds the title of Registered Municipal Clerk and has done so since 2014. She received the IIMC designation of Certified Municipal Clerk in 2017 and continued her education to earn the prestigious award of Master Municipal Clerk in August of 2021. She also holds a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from SUNY EMPIRE in Business Administration, graduating with honors in 2018.
Allison has been involved with the association since 2015, coming on as District #10 Director. During this time, she also served on the committees of Clerk of the Year, Store, IIMC, and Computer Program. She served as the Membership chair from 2017-2022 and as the NYSTCA Secretary from 2022-2023.
She has been involved with developing and promoting the New York State Municipal Clerks Institute (NYSMCI) since it left Cornell University in 2017. She worked on the education and planning committee at the Rockefeller Institute of Government and again in 2020 with the SUNY ALBANY Rockefeller College. She also is a member of the Resolutions Committee with the Association of Towns.
Being actively involved with the Chautauqua County Municipal Clerks Association, she has served as Vice President in 2014 and President from 2015 to 2017. She continues to serve as the liaison for the NYS Town Clerks Association, Scholarship, and IIMC Committees. Allison conducts the annual fund raiser which raises money to be given to a local county resident pursuing a career in public service.
She resides in the Town of Pomfret with her charming husband, Lee and kindest son, Liam. She enjoys reading, traveling, organizing-- anything and everything, laughing, being outside-- especially poolside in the summer, and being with family and dear friends.
