Meet Karen - Your District 6 Director!
Having owned her own Flower Shop for 25 years, the Town of Newfield has been blessed with her as their Town Clerk for the past 11 years. She is a member of the Tompkins County Town Clerk Association. She is the treasurer for the Newfield Community Good Neighbor Fund, which is a local funding organization which helps residents of Newfield with emergency funding. She is also a trustee for the Newfield Historical Society. Karen and her husband, Dan, have been married for 37 years and have one son, Peter. Karen is a lover of all animals having a yellow lab, Bailey, a spitfire Welsh Pembroke Corgi, Ellie (who gets to come to work everyday!), Wrenn, her Morgan Horse, cats Zeke and Fred, and a mini-rex rabbit, Jack. In addition to these fur faces, she has a barn full of chickens, ducks, guinea hens, and Rita, the lone turkey hen. Karen is an extremely talented quilter, loves Thanksgiving, and her favorite movie is “On Golden Pond”.
